In any other industry where individuals serve as professional fiduciaries, there are typically degree programs, mandated training, certification, and continuing education. This includes diverse fields like medicine, law, accounting, real estate, and so on. It is definitely time to institute these practices for board directorships, and the leadership taken by NACD in launching a board director certification program is something that the private and public investing community should wholeheartedly support.
Important note regarding COVID-19
Our testing partner, Pearson VUE, has temporarily closed their company-owned U.S. and Canada-based Pearson Professional Centers (PPCs) starting March 16, 2020 for at least 30 days until April 16, or whenever conditions are deemed safe to re-open.
If you are looking to schedule an exam, the registration windows for new exam appointments will not be available until April 16. You are still able to apply for NACD Directorship Certification at this time and schedule your exam appointment for a later date.
Why NACD Certification?
Becoming NACD Directorship Certified distinguishes you as a director.
